Work in a contracted part-time capacity whilst you study

Carfi’s Graduate Program will provide current psychology students with real world experience to develop their skills. Graduates would also be involved in the research and development of topical resources that meet the needs of our clients. Graduates that show promise and initiative through the graduate program will be offered a full time position once eligible for provisional registration.

Tasks undertaken by the graduates will include:

Client-related vocational rehabilitation activities, including job seeking support
Drafting of Reports
Draft RTW plans
Draft rehabilitation programs
Client observation

Your Pathway to General Registration as a Psychologist


Your introduction to the world of psychology

Part-time employment whilst undertaking 4th and 5th year study
In class lessons with psychologists
Successful graduates will be offered a Full Time position as a Provisional Psychologist
Client observation

02Provisional Psychologist

Undertake the role of a provisional psychologist and work on:

Consult with some of Australia's largest organisations to develop their mental health and wellbeing strategy
Assisting returned Veterans to integrate into their communities
Supporting disabled Australian's through the NDIS
Supporting injured workers to return to work
Attend critical incidents to provide debriefing support

03Registered Psychologist

Once registered, you will have the:

Opportunity to lead a team in the area of work you find most interesting
Opportunity to identify areas of psychology that are important to you and ways that we can deliver these services to our clients
